Camp Director Application

Camp Exsighting Adventures is seeking a dedicated, self-motivated leader to serve as Camp Director for our 2027 season. The Camp Director reports directly to the Board of Directors / President and oversees all camp programming, staff/volunteer training, daily operations, and safety protocols to deliver a smooth, enriching experience for blind and visually impaired youth and adults.

Role Overview & Key Commitments

• Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to the Board of Directors and Board President.
• On-Site Residency (24/7): Saturday, July 31 – Sunday, August 8, 2027. Arrives one full day prior to campers to lead mandatory staff and volunteer orientation/training, and remains on-site 24/7 through camper checkout and camp closure.
• Pre-Season & Year-Round Collaboration: Sporadic, flexible remote preparation leading up to camp week (e.g., occasional board check-ins, program schedule planning, and staff readiness) as tasks arise throughout the year.
• Vetting Requirement: All leadership candidates must successfully pass a comprehensive professional background check.
